Presentation about Düsseldorf and the Association
We now have a Powerpoint presentation about Düsseldorf and the Association, which we can give to any group of people likely to be interested in the link with Düsseldorf. This presentation has been given at the 2010 AGM, to the Reading-Düsseldorf Churches Interchange, and to the Reading Sports Development Forum. It can be adapted to the audience and time available.
Annual General Meeting and Report
The AGM took place on 3 November 2011, and you can read about it here. The Annual Report for 2011 has now been published.
HistoryPin
The Association is taking part in the Reading HistoryPin project to publish photographs of its history, and you can see them here.
Exhibition at Reading Museum
Many documents and objects from our history will be on display at Reading Museum from January to March 2012. The Chairman, Robert Dimmick, will give a talk at the museum at 1 pm on Friday 10 February 2012.
Wine and Cheese Evening
The speaker at our annual Wine and Cheese Evening will be Peter Ritzer from the British German Association, on the subject of "United Germany Today". This will be in the Kennet Room at the Civic Offices, Reading at 7.30 pm on Friday 10 February 2012.
Carnival
We hope that a few members will be going to Düsseldorf for the Carnival in February 2012. Numbers are likely to be very limited.
