Here are some links to sites for groups which take part in exchanges between Reading and Düsseldorf.
Our most important links are to the local authorities, Reading Borough Council and Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf. In the UK, international twinnings are co-ordinated by the Local Government International Bureau which in turn has a link to the German Association of Cities and Towns (Deutscher Städtetag).
The Association is affiliated to the British-German Association.
Reading's other twinnings are with San Francisco Libre (Nicaragua), Clonmel (Republic of Ireland), and since January 2003 with Speightstown (Barbados).
A new site about Reading is the Reading Forum.
Since June 2007 this site has been hosted by UK2.Net.
Many of the links in this site were found using Google.
The flags came from the World Flags Database.
Much of the information on travel by rail came from Deutsche Bahn (which is good for links throughout Europe). Information on air services, road routes and distances and ferries mainly came from Expedia.co.uk.
